Howie Shear spent over 15 years simplifying his approach to jazz improvisation. As a student he was continually frustrated with the traditional approach to jazz improvisation that borders on higher math. Through extensive study of music theory as well as the jazz masters, Howie has simplified how to relate to chord changes in such a manner that even the very beginning student will get a quick handle on what notes to play.
